Antique V's Old

Let me break the spell of what an Antique really means in context, to any novice, the curious and just simply a lover of beautiful and old things.

The meaning of the word Antique can be spoken in all manors of context and can be off putting to someone who has never entered an antiques shop, or gone to an auction, or has received a family heirloom.

Here are the main definitions of an Antique:

“Of high value” (Or not)

“Quality” (Debatable)

Other words can include, relic, treasure, museum piece and all these definitions are flexible to each object, or item and should certainly not put anyone off purchasing or owning their own Antique piece.

The meaning of the word `Old`, is a softer and gentler approach to describe items of age:

“Having lived a long time”

“Dated from far back”

“Still useful”

In my view no matter how you approach the subject, or objects there really is no need to be put off or only let `Old People` enjoy antiquity.
