This is a beautiful Rumtopf Crock, if like me you have never heard of these, I was pleased to find out that these are a traditional Danish and German homemade liqueur maker.
This is where you add fruit, sugar, and rum and leave to sit for six weeks and then you have a boozy fruit lustrous liqueur is drank with desserts and puddings but also poured over spiced cakes at Christmas time.
I love the sound of this recipe and method, and I would imagine whoever fall for this beautiful crock will enjoy making it and drinking it too.
It could have a different function all together, but I will leave that up to your imagination.
It is in excellent condition.
